So let's begin.

First of all, define which software you wanna use ! Event if it will be Hyper-V or VMware.

Let's start with basics. In Hyper-V you are able to build differencing VHDX files.
In VMware you are able to create linked-clone VM's.

So, let's begin with building a small Lab in Hyper-V. We will create a base Image for Windows Server vNext and a base Image for Windows 10 Enterprise insider (Dev).
